Amid a UK review into the safety of controversial breast implants, an Inverness mother says surgery she underwent left her close to death. Mairi Johnston's concerns come as a Scottish Parliament committee is calling for fresh advice on the potential health risks of silicone gel, after some implants were found to contain industrial rather than medical grade material. In other news; Nearly 50 rail passengers and crew had a lucky escape this morning when their train hit a tree on the main Inverness line in Perthshire. Two people - a teenage girl and a man - suffered only minor injuries in the crash north of Dunkeld. Fallen trees have been causing severe problems across the rail network since Tuesday's storm. And in sport; St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas says he's disappointed Fran Sandaza's agent went public about his intention to leave, BEFORE speaking to Saints first. However, Lomas says he hopes Sandaza stays beyond the transfer window. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.
