It's been announced military involvement in helicopter search and rescue operations is to cease under government plans to privatise the service. It brings to an end almost three decades of live-saving missions by the familiar yellow sea-king helicopters. In other news; The Justice Secretary has paved the way for a review of Scotland's controversial not proven verdict by telling STV News he's "open minded" about its future. Kenny MacAskill said the Government would be willing to consider whether it should be scrapped. He was speaking on the day that key changes were made to another centuries old principle of Scots Law, double jeopardy. And in sport; Dundee United coach Gary Kirk's challenged Garry Kenneth to play his way to a dream move to England. Kenneth says he plans to quit Tannadice, when his contract expires in the Summer.
