Scotland's island communities are being assured they WILL receive help in combating escalating petrol and diesel prices - but not until the Spring. It comes as the Government's facing a revolt in the Commons over increasing fuel costs. It's hoped the discount scheme, which would help some of Scotland's remotest communities, will be approved by European Ministers. In other news; Amazon's biggest UK centre was officially opened today by the First Minister. The Fife facility will deliver a huge jobs boost to Scotland. But as Alex Salmond toured the centre he was still fighting off concerns that uncertainty over the independence referendum is hurting the Scots economy. And in sport; It's been confirmed Castle Stuart near Inverness WILL stage next year's Scottish Open. This is an international version of the news that may have been edited for rights reasons.
