Controversial American academic Paul Yelland is invited to speak at Oxford's Department of Criminology, and his visit stirs up a lot of deep-seated emotions. When Yelland is later found strangled in his room, Lewis and Hathaway have several suspects who fall into the frame - was the murder motivated by politics, ambition or vengeance?
