Dick and James Strawbridge dock at Rye in East Sussex, where they help to round up some rare breed cattle then cook burgers al fresco at a ruined abbey. They also take a steam trip in search of multi-coloured spuds, visit Kent's oldest vineyard, discover the secrets of smoking fish and make shrimp nets. Back on board, they prepare a feast of beef Wellington for their guests
