Documentary telling the story of one of the most successful teams of songwriter/producers in the history of pop music. Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman were responsible for over 100 top 40 hits, selling over 40 million records and dominating the airwaves during the late 80s. The programme recalls many of their greatest hits, including Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky and Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. The producing partnership drew on the sounds of Britain's thriving club scene, added plenty of synths and fluffy hair, and married it all to a cheesy but catchy pop aesthetic. Contributors include Pete Waterman, Simon Cowell, Sinitta, Jason Donovan, Pete Burns, Sonia, Lamont Dozier, Kim Appleby and Steps
